| Recently, cloud computing technologies have been widely used in the management of various sectors of the oil and gas industry. Although cloud computing is an effective technology for processing and storage of generated data, the problems related to the real time use of available applications or their latency problems, as well as the problems related to low bandwidth cannot be solved only through this technology. To this end, the article reviews the application of fog computing technologies in the oil and gas industry. The advantages of using Fog computing over cloud computing are analyzed. | |
