| One of the important problems that arise in attempting to create virtual private networks is that of implementing the function of identification and authentication of users. In the present article questions related to the construction of a distributed authentication system in such a network arc considered. A method is proposed by means of which an optimal distribution of users and the resources of virtual networks with respect to authentication servers may be found. The method is constructed on the basis of an exponential closed stochastic network and is implemented as a problem of nonlinear programming with pseudo-Boolean variables. An algorithm describing the operation of a distributed authentication system based on the solution of an optimization problem is presented | |
