| Biblioqrafik təsvir | | Samidov , A.F. Application of cyber-physical systems in search and rescue operations during earthquakes in seismic areas / A.F. Samidov // Problems of Information Society. - 2026. - N: vol.17, no.2. - P. 52-60. | | Annotasiya | | In the modern world, rescue operations in seismic zones are a complex and responsible task that
requires efficient planning and coordination. In this context, the application of cyber-physical systems
creates new opportunities to improve the efficiency and speed of emergency response. The study
investigates how cyber-physical systems can be integrated into rescue operations, as well as their
advantages and limitations. The purpose of this research is to identify the potential of cyber-physical
systems to improve the process of rescue operations in seismic zones. The article explores the
possibilities and perspectives of using cyber-physical systems for conducting rescue operations in
areas affected by earthquakes. Examples of successful use of cyber-physical systems in real situations
are given, and the advantages and disadvantages of various technologies are analyzed. The efficiency
of post-earthquake search and rescue operations in seismically active zones is mainly determined by
the speed of detecting survivors and assessing the situation. Existing technologies—cyber-physical
systems, thermal cameras, radar systems, and acoustic sensors—often face limitations due to the
uncertainty of destruction structures and the failure of communication infrastructure. This article
introduces a new model with the implementation of smart wristbands, which is a new cyber-physical
system approach. The model ensures both the mapping of vital signs and the mapping of destruction
topology through acoustic analysis based on real-time data exchange in a self-organizing mesh
network of smart wristbands. The proposed model enhances decision support for rescue teams,
creating a more resilient and highly prioritized search-and-rescue ecosystem for emergencies.
